I was out making more videos of shooting crab apples with shotguns, clearing trail of brush with chainsaws, and playing in the mud on my WRR.

I picked up a Teton as well last summer and really like it. Plenty of pockets, waterproof, decent venting, and sturdy so far. Neck is a bit snug but I usually don't snap it anyways.

So, we went to IP this morning because after yesterday I decided I had to have some boots with some semblance of being waterproof. I picked these up:

http://www.ironpony.com/ironponydire...EET%20PRODUCTS

Also, Krista tried out a few bikes. She is kinda comfortable on a KLX250, but the WRR is too tall for sure. Thinking I may try to find a CRF 230 eventually. For now, I think we are going to get a Zuma or Ruckus for her to get the mechanics down before we start working on shifting. Anyone have a scooter they want to get off of?

I also made the mistake of sitting one a Versys..I kinda want one...

Thanks. Never heard of them, but I'll check it out.

I'll be back in mid-March, though I don't think the wife will allow me out the first week.

I just checked the Unabiker site and don't see a WRR application, unless something else fits. I have a Flatland, it seems ok, but hasn't deflected any trees yet , seems to keep the gravel out. There's one made by Force that looks more substantial, but its about $100.
I have a Ricochet skid plate, if I planned on dragging it over logs regularly, I'd replace the hex bolts with something smoother. Once again, it keeps the gravel off the case. It also wraps around and would maybe deflect anything headed toward the sight glass.

Question Question?

Anyone know of a good honest mechanic who can check over the adjustment of the carbs on my XL600 affordably?

My friend and fellow inmate Rick G has a SYM Fiddle 125 for sale up here in NEOh...
I thought he had it listed in the FM but I don't see it...

Friday I saw a used:

2012 XR650-L, 297 miles, $6160 at the Pony.

It can double as a good tow vehicle. . .

I want it - but someone else is going to get this one.

Maybe Byron just makes the little Honda look good. After riding BMW tanks off road for years, the little Hondas have to be like throwing around a mini-bike by comparison.
