If it's just corrosion between the sensor and the hub assembly, it looks to be an easy fix. But I'm not too interested in jacking the truck, pulling the wheel, brake caliper, and rotar in ~30 degree temps. I pulled the ABS fuse and I'll work on it when it's a bit warmer. It least now I won't have to worry about rear-ending someone because the ABS increased my stopping distance.

In good shape, has the anti-tilt lock on the tongue and side ramp, works great have had good luck with it just don't need it any more. $75 and it's all yours...will throw some cool foot-peg anchors I made, a nice way to secure a bike on it that makes a good safe back-up to straps.
I'll take the hitch hauler.

Whew, when you said you were gone for a year and you came home to a surprise from your wife, I thought the worst.

The same thing just started with our Tahoe. I didn't know where to start, thanks for the info. Does pulling the fuse turn on any of the dash lights?

I wouldn't be the first GI to have an issue with "Jody," but my wife is also a Soldier and knows better.

Yes, both the ABS and dash lights came on, but it now drives normally.

Thanks for all the kind birthday wishes!

Swing, someone is buying my trailer in about an hour and I may need something to hold me over until I get another. Your hitch carrier might be perfect if Joe decides not to take it. Let me know.

KTM 520exc

Swingset has his KTM 520exc for sale in the flea market for $2300.

I know absolutely nothing about orange bikes, but this looks more dirt capable than the KLR. Should I consider buying this and selling the KLR? What would I miss about the KLR?

You're welcome to swing over to the house and borrow mine. It's not like it's far away or anything.

Was that you on Memorial Parkway around 4:45 today on the WRR? If not, there's another new one in the area.

Not working on stuff.

It's absolutely night/day from a KLR....but I wouldn't be a friend if I wasn't honest, it's not the best dual sport in the world. Skinny hard seat, shorter wheelbase (twitchier on the asphalt at speed), and a smaller oil capacity...so more changes. It's fine for the dirt road romps around here, but I wouldn't want it for a long all day affair...it'd wear you out. It feels like a dirt bike on the road, no two ways about it.

On the good side, offroad it's a blast, light, great suspension and for a 500cc bike surprisingly flickable in tight stuff. My TTR250 was piggier on the single track. The Rekluse is also the cat's ass on the dirt, and it's not a scary machine at all...very linear, useable power...but it'll scream if you grab the whole throttle.

It's more fussy than a KLR, but it's also a lot more fun, so weigh those by what you want in a bike. I really debated selling it, and I'm sure I'll regret it but I won't have any time for a bike this year and maybe not the following. Need the money for other things.
