I think your KLR is a good bike for what you are doing with it. After bike shopping most of the day saturday I went over and looked at the KLRs at the Iron pony and thought if I call the guy and the Vstrom is sold I might just end up with a new KLR. Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain and run forever. Thats tough to beat.

I hate cheap shit, but no more than I would use the thing, I wonder if the HF would be OK.

What says the OH collective?

Have had one for 5+ years now. Works great for me. Keep my WRR parked on it in the garage. Wheel vise on it is a joke so I mounted this HF wheel chock on it:

U.S. General - Item#97841

Have a bike jack also but the lift works better for me because it raises the bike much higher plus there is plenty of room to spread out your tools on it.

The jacket was wore 3 times and the pants one time and they are my size. The helmets are also like new. He took $1000.00 off the asking price and I got the COOL top box..
Nice bike
Congrats

Last one I had was a '84 Vanagon with a wasserboxer that required frequent infusions of cash and time.
I've had a bunch of VW's. I had a couple of early aircooled vanagons. I really liked them but being young and broke they seemed like money pits, and kept me broke. I really liked the FI 2.0L type 4 motor, the main thing was having good/new vac and fuel lines. I always wanted a Westie but they were always out of my league.

As far as the aircooled cars not having heat, that was mostly a rust thing. I bought a 71 SB auto stick in Seattle and drove it down the coast thru OR, CA, AZ, NM. The heater outlet would start softening/melting your shoes.

Lift table

If you want a good qaulity lift for a decent price check out Portage Lift, they have almost every brand or can get them, they don't list everything they have on thier website so call. They are just west of Rootstown. Got mine there after much shopping around and could not be happier.

I'll happily pay you a premium of 2 cents per round over and above your cost

Price gouging. During the 94 awb, Obama election and pretty much every other scare they were one of the first to Jack prices through the roof and use fear driven advertising. They started it post Sandy hook but quickly changed their tune after threats of another consumer boycott. That's the main reason, another was the zero mag sales in a state with any size restriction. Ohio never had a size restriction on ownership, but some cities passed a 10 round limit and ctd refused to ship over 10 round mags to the entire state.

Ohio does have a magazine size restriction, 30 + 1.

Not on ownership meef. That's a weird nfa classification by the attorney general. 31+ mags are legal to own,but once put into a firearm it's classified as am nfa auto in Ohio..if it's not a form 4 pre may or dealer sample...well according to Ohio law you've just manufactured an nfa auto regardless of select fire capabilities. Totally fucked up law. Kinda like switchblades. You can own and carry one, just not posses one for sale in Ohio.

An important distinction, yes.

However, the intent of the law is clear.
