I see you guys are about as down as I. My weekly 5 page update revealed video and gun talk... but only one mention of riding. This weather freaking blows.
Mark, I'm looking forward to your windscreen modification! Regarding guns... I've gotten some new toys lately... unless you're looking for a scary rifle, you're really not going to over pay. Handguns and Shotguns are still at MSRP. Vances and Gander Mountain have actually had firearm sales lately. Inventory is a bit lower than it was previously, but not by a drastic amount (like ammo). Ammo prices are all over the place. I scored 9mm at Walmart for $25 for a 100 bulk pack, then at the gun show it was going for $30 for a 50 pack... both standard blazer brass / Federal type. ArmyJoe, if you need 22lr for a shoot, I should be able to sell you some. It's just your standard cheap stuff... but if you need it, let me know. (For us Columbus folks at least) getting out of town a bit is helpful for ammo... I heard Ohio Valley Outdoors in Lancaster was stocked pretty well in the normal calibers (9mm). I visited the new Cabela's today. No normal ammo, but tons of non-scary-looking guns. I'm planning on going to an action pistol competition or two this year if anyone is interested. I also want to take the next level of pistol class, something like a post-CCW, practical class. Should be a good time! Now... if only we could get some riding weather... |

Well, who is down to ride on Saturday? Big or little bikes, either or.
Alan, we can always hook up with you after your buyer shows up.

ETA: Installed the racks today. Everything looks good. I hit the hardware store for extra bolts so I kept the passenger footpegs and helmet lock.

Name the time and place to meet up. I can get a decent route out of the east end of Columbus and work our way back to the Danville riding.

I'm flexible for the start, but need to be home by 5 PM.
