That's the 1911 platform in general swing. They used to all be "fitted by a Smith" pistols until recently. Even then there's some complaints swapping parts between mfg's.

I looked at the EMP, seemed kind of small for the 1911 style but seemed to be okay if you were using for concealed carry.

The 1911 is a piece I've always been intrigued by, but I'm not deep enough into the hobby to really get into them. That's what separates me as a guy who likes to go shoot shit from the real enthusiast...

In other news, speaking of Taurus guns...I have a line on a super cheap Judge I'm considering picking up....
