That hill is stupid steep, with motorcycle engine size rocks inter strewn with baby head rocks and ugly ruts. The only person known to make it was driving a rail buggy and drinking a mixed drink out of a coffee cup while telling us the story....

I thought mark was being serious when he goes, You think you can make it up that?

I was already beat from the mud at the go-arounds. I was like you've got to be fucking kidding me.

Did you go up the other side of it? If so, I'd hate to see what you could do with a set of knobs on that thing

Some of the ruts were bad judgement on my part, sometimes i'll just try to let it ride in the rut and let that steer the bike up the hill. That's all fine and good until you run across a bunch of wet leaves packed in them and forward momentum gets halted. The log crossing too, that was bad judgement as well. Thought it looked easier than going up the go-around. Nope.

I don't know? Did we mark? I wasn't really paying attention to where we were at all.

I've been shopping for dirt wheels for it for a trip out west later this year. Even with knobbies though i wouldn't attempt that hill climb. MAYBE I'd try it on my 200 two stroke, maybe. That 625 is way too heavy to be picking up off myself halfway up that hill.

I made it to Lake Hope SP and got checked it to my cabin. OhioPT you still coming? I've seen more ADV riders here than DS riders so far. They tried to give me the ADV route sheet when I checked in tonight. Thankfully I caught it and got the DS sheet. I'm sure this place will be a nut house in the morning. My tether to my blackberry from my PC is working pretty good so far. I think I'm getting 3G speeds.

I have a new MX31 mud tire on. First time I've used one. Last year it haven't rain for several days before the ride and was still muddier than hell.

My plan is to do all the Hero sections and try to pass as many orange bikes as possible. (yes I've been drinking a few.)

WOW what a good day of riding. I rode the strom to Mt. Vernon this morning to get a hair cut came home swap the strom for the WR and met Tim at the eye doctor since I was mixed up and thought we were meeting at marks. Had a great time riding the 250. Nice meeting you Matt. You are a great rider. Nice try on the hill climb Mike that was crazy.
When I got home I took the boys over to clearfork and watched them ride around there until about dark.
The only good picture I got today. The hill climb video is not to good I was to far away.

It was a great ride. I'm still a bit sour from that hill climb, I can do better. And I'm still wiping dust out of my eyes.

New-Matt, following you on gravel was terrifying. I love getting sideways, but good lord man, you get sideway going in a straight line at 70mph!

Old-Matt, we did not go up the power line hill, just did that stretch of rr bed from one end to the other.
