Hmmm, he probably is in town right now for the fair, but I thought he had a Tiger?

I do like how the new KLR's have the all blacked out frame, swingarm, and forks.

Welcome Rockynight. Where are you from and what do you ride?

Edit, I see now you have a S10 and a KLR. Is that your bike in the pic?

I don't think that belongs to Thomas. I seem to remember a KLR sticker that mimicked the BMW roundel. Also, the tiger was traded in on the KLR.

Supposedly its an old bootleggers route that runs all the way into GA...at Deal's Gap you can buy stickers/patches that identify it as Moonshiner 28. Anyway, ride as much of that road as you can, you won't regret it.
I did the entire length of 28 from Augusta, GA to Deals Gap in 2010 on my Spyder. Heading north, I'd say it really doesn't get good until you get past Walhalla (map). There are stretches that are just as good as the Dragon, have higher speed limits, and have no cops.

There's a joke about the biker who's buddies talked him into getting a Harley Davidson tat as a tramp stamp because he had straight pipes.

I think it is, in fact, Tom's bike, the roundel is on the other side. I think that he got those bags from Gorman. The guy has a sense of humour.

Edit regarding sticker... here is an earlier version...

Yep that was the bike. It appears he just traded the bmw sticker for ktm. Had I known he had a KLR I would have went inside and shot the shit with him for a minute.

Hello and welcome. I'd be interested in a ride tomorrow. That's a good area that I don't know well but Gonzo Matt is a great guide. He'd probably be on a Versys and I'd be on a SV650 so there shouldn't be anything too extreme. South of I-70 is Sion's neck of the woods and he knows the good roads.

Whats the word? I could meet up anywhere from your place to Mansfield. Free until 5ish.
