Granted, you are making an example, but...

I think Shinko is a rare exception, a quality product that is fairly priced.

I realize a lot of people hate them and would scoff at the "quality product" part, but I offer up what I always offer up when I hear people tell me that Shinkos are shit: ride more miles on a 705 than me and then you are entitled to render judgment on the quality, longevity, traction, etc., of the tires. Until then, shut the fuck up, because my experience speaks volumes more than yours... around 100,000 miles exclusively on the 705 now on 5 different bikes over about 6 years.

That was a general "shut the fuck up", not directed at you or your post, Scott.

I call bullshit on those being in Marion. I do not see any tourniquets on arms, nor needles stuck in veins; and the people depicted are too healthy looking to be meth addicts. You're a goddamn liar.

If they work, use them. Even harbor freight has some good stuff. Surprisingly better than all of the other big box stores...and cheaper.

Comrade Meefzah, those photos were purposefully arranged by the greater Marion travel bureau to show what a clean sophisticated and safe place Marion has become.

Actually the first guy is stealing trees to sell for more heroin, and the second pic is of a large group of junkies fighting all of the way to the pawn shop over who gets to pawn it.

Don`t tell anyone I said this but I agree with Mark 100%. The disaster I just had with 705`s was mostly my fault for pushing them way past their limits.

Well that, and those dang HD dealers that left you hanging. Lol

Actually besides everyone that says they get great performance out of them I have heard really super things about their customer service. Crazy stuff they have done at the US office to take care of the few people that have had a problem. Customer service that goes well beyond what you would see from ANY other tire mfg. (so much so that I think if Larry would have called them they would have shipped him new tires and kicked the HD dealer's ass.

I'm just using them as an example. I am sort of a tire snob too. I spread the miles over many bikes so it is never like I am putting on tires several times a year either. (as I am looking at two fresh sets of TKCs that are going on both of my big GSs soon)

I have to deal with brand snobs all the time, before this gig I was the VP of an inexpensive helmet brand. Talk about snobs, high-end-helmet-only guys are the worst.

and Mark - I would not get offended even if you said it directly to me, no worries.

Hmmm, actually a solid point. I retract my comment.

Free

I have general admission tickets for either remaining round of the GNCC.

October 12-13 St. Clairsville Ohio

October 26-27 Crawfordsville IN.

Free, saves your $15.00 gate fee and perhaps makes a fan out of you.

Shoot me a PM if interested.

Scott
