Best be careful in challenging the weather gods Tod2. Since the rain gods now know they can have their way so easily with Kind Dan IV, they've been making it known to the snow, frost, wind and fog gods that all Advriders are real wussies, so they probably will try you on for size this time of year! But I'm sure you will run the gauntlet, and, like Goonie, not end up a notch on their wussie stick They seem to try and keep clear of him now. Remember the mantra of the Advid riders: UP WITH ADVENTURE! DON'T REALLY NEED A PLAN! REAL ADVRIDERS RESIDE IN RIDERLAND!!! (well, except maybe for Hilliard )
Good mantra.
Hey, I've been out a few times already in this crappy mess. Had to warm up the bike to change the rear drive and transmission oil and change the oil in the bike. Yikes, it was cold and sloppy but it's done now.
You never know this time of year ... it's pouring rain today with snow predicted, but in a week we might get a break and it could be almost 50.
Or, on the other hand, it could be 3 degrees and we're buried under a blizzard.

Hey Guys(and Rider),
I just put a bunch of deer jerky in to cure. It'll be done tomorow afternoon. Anybody wanna ride up here to try it?
Haven't had a chance to work on the GS since last time I tried to meet you guys

I should be rolling in the jerky and trail bologna next week. The guys that hunt on my property always give me a cut of the bounty once they get it processed. So far there have been 3 deer taken off our land.

How does this compare to whipped cream, massage oil, and edible underwear? Is that why they call it "trail" bologna and make it in that curved shape? For lonely nights on the trail????

Just want to know if I'm missing out on some Ohio tradition.

BUMP

How's the sanity been maintaining, fellas?

I got a chance to ride on Dec. 31, and I know there were bikes out this past weekend. But DAMN, if the cold didn't come back with a vengeance.

Hey where have you been? Someplace warm and sunny? I rode on the day after Xmas from Fredericktown back to Marion. I arrived home at 10p. It was 21 degrees when I left my Mom's. Then I have been out on a couple short rides between saltings, but these sub 20 degree days w/lots of salt keep the ol' girl in the garage.

I rode a few days over Christmas. It was pretty nice. But then I gave into the snow gods and left town to go skiing. Now my bike is sitting by it's lonesome in the garage.

So, when's out next OHIO ADVENTURE RIDE?????

Skiing is too DANGEROUS!! That's why I ride motorcycles.

I good to go anytime the temp is 30+ and there is not a bunch of salt on the roads.

That describes me- although I haven't yet bothered to get a plate for the Capo. I wasn't counting on some brief warm lo-salt days- so I wound up riding the GL1800.

I've been spending my time rounding up luggage- my new saddlebags finally arrived (in the right color), and I have a used GIVI E-52 on its way from Washington State (it seemed a pretty good deal).

Otherwise, I'm just working. Stop b the shop sometime- I have loads of questions regarding your old and new bikes.

Good to see the Ohia boys still kickin'!

I did get the new battery for the GS and it's installed but that's as far as I've gotten. I dying for an evening snow ride. Last night would have been perfect. Since the GS isn't going I opted for an night trail ride on the mt bike.

Log I like the mantra

UP WITH ADVENTURE, DON'T REALLY NEED A PLAN, REAL ADVRIDERS RESIDE IN RIDERLAND!
