Sensational!!!
I bet there isnt a single ADVrider around who wouldn't give anything to swap places with Bacon. That's one lucky pig. |

Great write up and pics Ladybug. This little pig is really getting famous. Glad I could be a part of it. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next.

Bacon, don't worry about the gear - the humans will always find ways to make sure you're ok. Mine never got me a helmet and I've been riding around with them for three years almost!
When I started, I just had a ratty shirt that, for some reason, they called a "wife beater". I don't have a wife - and if I did, I wouldn't beat her! ![]() ![]() ![]() They eventually found me a jacket to keep warm and they made me a pair of denim pants that even have a hole in the back for my tail! ![]() Bacon, tell me when you come to Texas please - I want you to meet my humans and I can show you around when they're at work. I can only reach the stuff near the ground, but you can probably climb on my shoulders to get to more stuff!

Can BACON meet up with another World Traveller?
Ted Simon will be in Seattle on 4/22 @ Touratech-USA for a presentation. Could we get BACON there to get a photo with another famous world traveller?
I'll be there. See the event thread over on PACIFICNWET.

Well I picked up Bacon today from Tantrum -
![]() Tantrum was on her lunch break so we met at Aztecca (Mex Restaurant). Quiz: What did Bacon have for lunch (Don't say pork rinds - )Bacon and I then rode up to Kirkland - ![]() I introduced Bacon to my Pug, Shadow - ![]() And my wifes Boston Terrier, Dolly - ![]() This evening Bacon will be out on the town, rooting around at the Mid-Sound MAG. We'll be sure to take lots of pic's. Quote:

Whahoooooo, Bacon made it to the Wetside I'm sure you'll all show him a good time there. The little doggies didn't seem to impressed with him, I sure hope they don't decide to have Bacon for breakfast

I'll look forward to seeing BACON at Ted Simon's presentation and then giving him a bit of "luxury" for a few days.

WAR_Wife thought that Bacon's road grim patina was unbecoming so she gave him a towel bath, of course Bacon had plans to go out so we had to use the hair dryer -
![]() Twas raining this evening and Bacon packed light - no rain gear so we had to improvise - ![]() Turn-out for today's MAG at the Pumphouse was thin. Bacon and I showed up at 5:30pm and chlled for a while waiting for others to show up - ![]() Eventually we began to think no one else would show so we hammed it up a bit - ![]() Just as we were getting ready to leave BrokenLever showed up followed by Ratty2Austin and Noah - ![]() Had some good conversation and ![]() So Bacon and I stayed a while longer to share the food - ![]() Tomorrow Bacon has agreed to shadow me at work - See ya

Bacon was reluctant to go to work with me yesterday, seems he's been brain washed with all kinds of horror stories so instead of going to work he helped smoke some ribs -
![]() The ribs turned out excellent - Apple Smoke is a must when smoking, errr.... Pork As they say tomorrow is another day and it turned out that I was able to convince Bacon that the rumor's that MS is an evil empire were false so he agreed to shadow me at work - ![]() When we reached my office Bacon couldn't help admiring my Jimmy & Heather Lewis PNWGS Rally poster - ![]() And the Jason Britton autographed poster of Jason doing a stoppy - ![]() Bacon then asked to use my work computer to see if there had been any new responses to his ride report - ![]() Hey, there's something wrong with this computer! After a while Bacon started to complain, seems my monitors were giving him a head ache I figured the best cure for what ails Bacon would be a motorcycle ride so we loaded up and headed to Touratech to pick up my GPS cradle were I introduced Bacon to Ray - ![]() And Kimmo - ![]() Bacon decided to take a moment to check out the 2008 catalogue - ![]() And then admire some of the bikes in the show room - ![]() I think Bacon is partial to the F650GS Dakar - ![]() Eventually I was able to drag Bacon away from all the bike porn at Touratech and get back on the bike. Today being Thursday our next stop was Engle's Pub in Edmonds. The North-Sound Adventure Riders have a weekly Meet And Greet (MAG) every Thurday at Engle's and this week Bacon was the guest of honor. Bacon was met out front of Engle's by Ratty2Austin - ![]() Bacon posed for Austin on his vStrom before heading inside - ![]() Just as we got comfortable MyTMule showed up - ![]() So Bacon felt obliged to have is picture taken with MyTMules GS - ![]() It was starting to get late in the day so we ordered the Engle's special - ![]() Hmm.... Smoked Pork Ribs Noah showed up on his vStrom - ![]() And the ribs just kept comin' - ![]() Then Springer showed up on a sweet hog, a springer of course ![]() That Springer guy's a bad influence ![]() Then Cyborg showed up on his Katoom 990 - ![]() But the fact is, even though Cyborg has a nice 990 T-Stoned's 690 SM is just SWEET ![]() Bacon went back inside to talk with T-Stoned about his SM - ![]() And then stopped and talked to Cyborg about joining him on his trip to Europe in early June ![]() JWMudd showed up on his brand spankin new 640 Adventure - ![]() And while out checking out the bikes we noticed this beautiful Scrambler - ![]() I forgot to wear my hearing aid so I missed the names of these two new participants - hopefully we'll see more of them in the future - ![]() Again Springer sets a bad example for Bacon with his display of the subtle art of getting TTechChick's attention - ![]() End of the Day, time to fill up the tank for tomorrow - ![]() 164 miles, It's amazing how the miles add up simply riding around town The weather liars are calling for sunshine without the liquid this weekend so we should be able to get in some great riding
