Wasn't quite jettisoned, in fact you'd hardly know anything was wrong..

Met up with Bacon at Glen Lyon today

Bacon and Turpin got along well.

Bacon pays his respects at Boxertools Bench.

We didn't hang around too long as the balmy 4 Degrees C weather was starting to look like it was deteriorating...and we were mindful that Bacon was used to warmer climates.

So, we're home now in Ardfern and Bacon is thawing out in the jacuzzi with a wee dram and looking forward to his Argyll adventures starting first thing in the morning.

Today was one of those crisp, clear, calm winters days we get her occasionally so Fruitcake and I took Bacon for a wee look round mid Argyll starting out at the standing stones on the Bealach overlooking Loch Craignish and Ardfen Yacht Centre.

This whole area was one of the first in Scotland to be settled by man after the last ice age retreated and they have left many relics behind for pigs ( and man) to ponder upon.

Temple Wood was our first stop on a mini tour of some of the ancient sights.

He just had to try it for size...

So after dragging him away from the crypt we headed over to Crinan
for a look at the sea lock and some of the interesting boats that winter there.

These are Clyde Puffers that were made famous by author Neil Munro and his Para Handy books and more recently

The poor old Vital Spark could do with a some TLC..

It's a pretty place, Crinan, with a Bacon sized house.

And the lighthouse which by law has to be in every tourist photograph taken here.

After Crinan we headed over the Moine Mhor which is one of the largest and last raised peat bogs left. More info Here for anyone interested in bogs...

To be continued...
