Can't get there from here, well at least not until 9:00am. They're not in too much of a hurry around here as border traffic is fairly light. That's Hammer, Head2Wind and I waiting in Midway B.C. for the border to open, August '07.

This is a rare photo of me actually in a line at a border. Leaving Chile, headed North into Peru.

While I was in line I saw this burned out bus.

Take a look at the new curtains and re-upholstered seats. I think this old girl is back in service before they replaced the glass in the windows!

This is crossing from Mpumalanga Province, South Africa into Swaziland in October of this year. It is already on the Swazi side of the crossing - one still has to buy road tax ticket in the little office in the background, in order to be let through by the Swazi customs guard. Somehow, the officer was not too happy...

Return crossing from Swaziland to Kwazulu-Natal (x-Zulu Kingdom) in South Africa. Here we are waiting to get our paperwork in order.

This is the pedestrian checkpoint.

Automotive "search" zone. Although, there was no problem for bikes. Just gave them our customs forms and were waved through.

No border crossing here!. Border crossing easily possible to nepal and bhutan where as china and pakistan needs highest level of escalation

Pakistan border is just a KM away.

In developing countries, border crossings are almost always military bases. Photographing military bases will get you into serious trouble.

Very good point.

Anyone posting pics that have already been taken, cool, lets see 'em. For those of you taking a look at this, maybe getting ready to head through North Korea, please be careful with taking photos at borders. The best case scenario; you don't get caught and are sly about snapping the pics because you were born with a fully functioning brain. The worst case, could be a camera stomp, or a free night in a shitty communal jail cell with a scorching case of the trots.
