He does do nice work though. Can't argue that.

WHoo. that is steep. But it does look like some nice work. I tend to be simpler in my tastes.

I know it may seem a bit high, but there was a fair amount of work on the tank that had to be done. There were dents, a bad sealer that had been put inside and was flaking that had to be removed (time intensive), the side knee panels removed and rechromed, the fenders had some splits and dents. The tool boxes were in nice shape but still had to be sand blasted etc.

All of the striping and logos are paint. Even the eagle logo and script on the tank are silk screened. Also included were new Lucas reflectors on the fenders which are beautiful.

The pictures really don't do the paint justice either. They are truly things of beauty.

Moe at CG is a nice guy to do business with too. To me at least, that's important.

Lots of Guzzi progress for me this year, on three different projects.

The SP1000 project went from this in February (5 years unloved on a trailer outdoors in Florida with no starter installed):

To this last month (has new pipes and seat on it since the video was taken):

The Lemans III project went from this in July (4 months outdoors in a junkyard):

To actually a little better than this video shows last month (I have side panels, fairing, and air cleaners on it now, and a better state of tune.... it still needs pipes):

The Lario "group" project (WCB is also involved) went from this in July / August (several years parked in the previous owner's garage):

To this as of last weekend (still very much a work in progress):

The Goose that was for sale above is now mine, on the road and running sweetly. Although the R100S I sold to get it was much more of a looker, the Guzzi has something the BMW never had- which is hard to describe, but it fits my personality better. The airhead had better brakes though....
