OK, so that's hardcore adventure biking.

Makes our little trips to Baja or the Pine Barrens look like a Sunday afternoon rideabout with the missus.

I for one think that you've got a great start to a full blown ride report right there and maybe should tell the rest of the story!

XCo spotting in Europe

I just had my first European XCountry spotting in Interlaken, Switzerland! I always keep one eye out for them, but not many around. Plenty of GS's though.

I can't wait to get back to the bike...I'm having withdrawls!

Thanks guys. She is a hell of a bike. I love my bike way too much. I did meet a guy who tried to marry his bike in Bangkok... I didn't go that far. I did a blog on my travels,

http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blo...00/1/tpod.html

it's a bit long and pictures start a few entries in, I was having camera problems. It's going to form the basis of a book I'm writing about it. It will probably be titled "Those two idiots" because that's what everyone knew us as. Read the blog and find out why... mistakes were made.
Also here is Marcin's, or the "Polish Cowboy" as everyone called him.

http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blog/cimek/1/tpod.html

He's done a lot more than me but you'd never guess because he's a clueless moron. Love him to bits though. His has fewer words but more pictures and videos too. The videos aren't great, the camera mount broke almost straight away so the camera was taped and tied on and we never did get it quite right. So read all about our drunken stupidity and see why the XC is simply the best bike in the world.

Looks like my no start issue with blinking indicator lights is entirely the battery. Much relieved.

Just installed the new battery. Went with a True Gel this time. It's what we sell, so I got it cheap. Cranks over faster and starts easier than the original battery or the uber expensive Odyssey ever did. 2 year full replacement warranty, you can get it warranty exchanged at any Tucker Rocky dealer, gel not liquid, and even at MSRP of $110 it's cheaper than many other options. Hell of a lot cheaper than that Odyssey was. Not that we ever sell anything at full MSRP. Oh, and yes it fits in our goofy battery compartment just fine.

PN 78-0501 from any TR dealer for future reference.

Also discovered every bolt in the right side engine case was less than tight.

Mine starts and runs fine, but has begun doing weird neutral and turn indicator flashes while riding. Hmmm.

Bar risers

Does anyone know if there are bar risers out there for the Xcountry that will fit with the Highway Dirt Bikes handguards mounting system? I'd like a little higher front end to compensate for the xchallenge airshock. Thanks.--sam
