The time has come the walrus said ....
Yeah guys. I dunno. I may sell my XCo.
I recently purchased a Guzzi Stelvio and I am amazed with it. Yeah, it's a helluva lot bigger but it is also more versatile. I have too many bikes, way too many. I need to get rid of 3 or 4. I may let the G bike go. I have a ton of premium parts in my storage bins too. ***** EDIT **** NO WAY AM I SELLING *** TOOK A RIDE AND REALIZED NOTHING LIKE THE XCo ** SORRY FOR CONFUSION

Yes the G has a voltmeter but I installed an auxiliary bright led version so I wouldn't have to scroll to find the stock digital volt read-out.

Yes, I was trying to figure out what type of bike could replace an Xcountry that is for me the most versatile bike I ever owned?
But since you've got many... |

Yes, you are correct. The XCo is hard to beat. As my posting on here reflects, I've taken mine on a very wide variety of travels including cross-country trips as well as single-track trails. The XCo is a capable tourer, a capable off-road bike and a capable sporty, twisty-road bike.
**** EDIT **** TOOK A RIDE AND REALIZED THAT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE XCO SO IM NOT LETTING IT GO. leafman60 screwed with this post 11-02-2012 at 03:17 AM |

An upcoming adventure that will require a better 2 up bike also has me contemplating selling my beloved X-Co. I hate to do it, but the prospect of a 20 day trip, 14 days riding, multiple 250-300 mile days, with a passenger, may push me over the edge. I love her, but this may be beyond her capability. And hell, I just got the bike kitted out the way I want with the aluminum luggage and fuel tank! It's not set in stone yet, I had the seat redone from scratch due to the foam having deteriorated (bad batch), and we made the passenger area bigger. Plus the passenger will be my rather small niece, who will be 17. Maybe between her small size and the enlarged seat it will work.
