I'm guessing the engine is under the bed, behind the cab?

It's built on the existing JK unlimited frame. That would put the engine under rear of the cab, the same as a FC. The original FC-150 was built onto a CJ-5 frame. The FC-170 was an extended frame but basically the same underneath.

Yeah, the FC's were body changes to the CJ5 and CJ7. Underneath it was the same CJ based on wheelbase. I think it looks great, but I would love to see what it would look like stock, like on stock JK running gear, as (if) they would sell it for real.

I am way into the JK12. Those J series FSJ's were tits. Even if they just made the hood, grill, and fender kit to swap onto any JK would be sweet.

But seriously, since the death of the Dodge Ram Dakota, there is nothing in the class leaving a market hole. If they built that pickup they would sell a bunch, just because it fits a niche that no one else touches. A cult niche at that.

Actually the FC's predate the CJ-7, 1957-1965. The FC-150 was 81" which is exactly the same as the CJ-5. The FC-170 was 103.5" which is shorter then the Willy's and longer then the CJ-6.

Seeing how much the pick-up conversion kit costs from Mopar Performance, a FC or even a J12 would be at least $8-9K I bet. FC would require a complete body which would be $$$. Love the retro concepts though.

Yup, you's right. I was definitely mistaken on that one. I always thought they were body swaps.

I'd still stab a guy for a J12 though. (or an old FC-170)

As much as I like the concepts I wouldn't but a new Jeep. I've owned my YJ for 20 years now and it's got a lot of quirks. Like leaking when it rains and making mysterious noises from who knows where. Still, it's 100% reliable and I could do a 1000 mile trip in it if I had to. If I was going to get another Jeep it would be something pre-76 so I wouldn't have to do emissions on it. Not because it wouldn't pass but it would allow me a lot more options for swaps and such without having the govt. saying what I can and can't do. Old stuff rocks though.

I'd love a clean 60's SJ like this;

Hahah, good luck on them making it. At best it would be offered as a kit (a really expensive one). The NuKizer got a lot of buzz too.

At the All-British Motorcycle Show....

So, I went to the Clubman's All-British Motorcycle show today. I took two pictures:

.

Plenty of cool bikes, but none made whip out the ol' iPhone and snap a pic.
