not uncommon to use camero or chevelle front clips...

looks like an s10 frame to me with a small block throw in. pretty common thing to do to these trucks, since s10's used the same front clip as old monte carlo's, are super easy to toss a v8 into, and are already a full frame truck chassis.

just cut off old body mounts, weld up mounts to match the holes on the body and drop her down. It's very easy to do wtih the early 50's chevy pickups, and probably not too hard with these older beasts too.

Sorry, I didn't have enough time to get into detail on all of the posted rides. I could only stay about 4 hours that day. I can say for sure that I haven't seen that one around before. I would have remembered it by the "Kennett, MO" on the doors if nothing else.

I get to a LOT of shows 'round here, so if I run across it again I'll get more info & post up.

Anyone know if rigs used as personal vehicles / collectors' vehicles are held to the same standard as the ones being commercially used DOT-inspected CDL trucks?

Some seem worth preserving as much as pickup trucks

As long as it's NOT used for "commerce", it's just a big honkin' private vehicle. Not even a special license required, if not used commercially.

I didnt make it to last years Euro car show , but my brothers said it didnt have a good turn out . I hope things pick up in STL .

For any city, I go by the "Craigslist Economic Indicator".
How many "toys" (especially the unfinished projects) are for sale and what are the asking prices?

And according to the CEI...... STL is hurtin'! LOTS of Neat Stuff at Good-to-Fire-Sale prices. None of which I can afford right now.
