![]() ![]() Class winner today at the Keeneland Concours in Lexington, Ky. I spoke with the owner, an elderly gentleman from North Carolina. he said his dad bought the truck new and never hauled anything in it, rather he used it like a car. It had a V-8 and Power-Glide tranny, an unusual combo in trucks in the early 60's.

Kind of like the stock appearance of my buddy's kids truck , though the air suspension might be a little different then stock . Note the high tech air conditioner !

displaced Jeep guy.....

It may not look like it, but I built this... it's actually pretty massively modified...
![]() 1989 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4X4, solid axle swap using 1982 Jeep Wagoneer Dana 44 solid axles front and rear... Basically, I cut off the entirety of the front suspension, built my own, and modified the hell out of the rear. I also upgraded the brakes to hydroboost brakes from a military HMMWV ("Humvee"), upgraded the power steering pump and steering gearbox to 1997 Astro (PS pump from that vehicle is about the strongest commonly available Saginaw P-type you can get), and have added commonly-available spin-on filters to all fluids: (full-flow for Power steering fluid, and transmission fluid, and bypass filtration for coolant, transmission, and motor oil).

Couple of workhorses.
These are close to my heart, as a young lad my Grandfather plowed some state roads in Maine (1960's) with a FWD and an Oshgosh, I was about 6 or 7 and he put me in the passenger seat for a ride up the farm driveway, all I remember is the giant exhaust tube running out the hood and over the roof barking like a beast from hell I started to freak and he set me on the ground to walk up the driveway saying he did not need to listen to no Baby crying...![]() ![]()
