Funny how you post the picture of a low-rider truck and everyone gets butt hurt about utility, but a chopped truck, unrecognizable from the original gets "awesome," and "cool"

There is a not-so-desirable section of town (San Antonio), that my route takes me through. I drive through there early in the afternoon, and then again (late) in the evening.

This has been sitting there, day and night, for the last three weeks...

Why it is not already covered in tagging (graffiti), or just plain gone, is beyond me.

I'd contemplate homicide to own this ^^^ truck. And, if I owned the thing, I'd be afraid to leave it in my driveway. This guy leaves it parked, on San Antonio's version of "Route Tampa", like it's no big deal.

Go figure.

.
Probably because the locals know to stay away from Jefe's truck.

So, this should be a hit.

Autocross finalist...

This (and a couple other '69-72 Chevy trucks in the competition) were amazing to watch- They cornered and braked like Porsche's!

Where the front ends fiberglass? I've watched autocross a few times and see those trucks run a course would be cool.

That one had a F/G hood only- There was one truck built by Ridetech in 3 days- all steel but HP engine and crazy coil over suspension / 4 link in the rear. There were 3 trucks that made in the quarter finals (Goodguys in Scottsdale, AZ)

I think that's a straight 8.

And that search led me to....

Top 10 Television Pickup Trucks
http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/12...ks-page-1.html

It's just another, kinda' lame, "top 10" list, but I had forgotten about this one.

No. 6: 1979 Dodge Macho Power Wagon, "Simon & Simon"

"Two brothers with polar-opposite personalities and lifestyles team up and form a detective agency in San Diego in the 1980s. A.J. Simon is a yuppie who likes fast cars while Rick Simon, a former Marine, gets around in a Macho Power Wagon with a front bumper fit for a Texas cattle ranch or running baddies off the road. Guess whose vehicle always saved the day? Yep, you nailed it."

And it did include one of my favorite T.V. pickups.

"The 1980s were a golden age for pickup trucks in action shows. After “Simon & Simon,” there was “The Fall Guy.” In the show, Colt Seavers (played by Lee Majors, formerly the Bionic Man) is a Hollywood stuntman turned bounty hunter – brilliant! Using his 1980 GMC 4X4 pickup truck, Seavers took down some of the most-wanted criminals on TV. From flying off jumps to ultra-dangerous high-speed pursuits, this truck did it all. It featured a 6 inch-lift, 35-inch off-road tires, multiple off-road lights, a Warn winch and our favorite feature: the hidden compartment in the pickup truck bed to hide firearms and captured convicts."

It is, but the 6 carbs can cause confusion. I didn't think to ask the reason, maybe space? maybe port configuration?

At least it has all eight head pipes.

I can think of one other reason for only running 6 carbs. The thought of syncing 8 carbs verses 6 was enough to make suicide look good.

Looks like a lot of work went into that machine.
