Let's see more Cool Work Trucks.

I'm a Driver. My job is to transfer a nation-wide construction company's equipment from city to city, as needed. Some of the stuff I drive is very cool. The kinds of trucks I didn't know existed until I got this gig.
----------------------------------------------
This is a "Vac Truck w/ Jetter Attachment". 46,000 lb GVW. aka the "S**t Sucker".

It's used to vacuum out sewers prior to repairs. The hose reel attachment is for the rinse-out (hooked up to a hydrant or seperate water tank). I should have stood next to the truck for perspective but I think that hose reel is about 5' outside diameter, to give you an idea of total size.
The big silver tanks (on both sides) are air tanks that get pumped down to ungodly negative pressure to maintain constant suction.

And it will suck up anything that will fit up the hose. Is the neighbor's rat-dog barking all night? You could make him dissapear like a spider up a shop-vac!

I'll post more when I get back to work in a month or so (broke my leg). I had just started bringing my camera with me.

Also used for rig cleaning: pits, cellars, tanks, hoses, etc. The guys who climb down into these oily gooey areas to pressure wash & run the vac have one of the dirtiest jobs I know of, and they, like welders, are someone you'd be wise to treat very well.

Just go to Smugmug or Photobucket & set up an account that way you're not taking up server space with attached photos. I went the Smugmug route and it walked me right through downloading photos and embedding them in forum posts. It wasn't really that difficult once I made my mind up to do it.
