This Scrambler was so popular, I ended up with a stranger in the shot.

I came out of a store yesterday and saw this 1970 Dodge parked by my '67 Chev.

Not near as classic as most of the trucks on here, but I love my truck. I think it's good looking and gets the job done. 2003 Ranger Edge 4x4 with a 4.0L V6.

I brag alot more on my '66, but I love my Dakota almost as much. It's just a boring '02 but the V8 makes it fun to drive.

No, I can easily pick up the tongue of that trailer and the truck has towed my other much heavier boat and handles it fine. It has a 3 inch Fabtech lift in front, so unloaded it sits like 1/2 inch lower in the rear. You're probably just used to seeing stock stink bug trucks. Notice the rear is even lower in the first pic with two bikes in back. I'd rather have my truck look good the 90% of the time it's driven without a load than the 10% it is.

What's with the nose-high look? Seems pretty prevalent in your part of the country - is it a prerunner wannabe thing, or what?

If it works for you that is cool I guess. To each their own but I would say you missed that goal on the 90/10 thing. Looks goofy with or without a load in my worthless opinion. I am sure I have had some vehicles others thought were not done right as well so if it makes you happy screw what other think.

Out here a prerunner should be caged out with long travel suspension, or at least have fibergass fenders flopping in the breeze.

I think it would look better if it sat level, and have some air bags that I've been too lazy to install. But it's only 1/2" higher in the front.

So this, 2 1/2" higher in the rear looks better to you guys back East

than this? (tried to get the same angle, sorry for the crappy phone pic)

Oh well. Like Jason said, as long as I like it. I lifted it to clear bigger tires and give it better off road ability so I could get my bikes out in the sticks, not for looks.

Good power, decent gound clearence, 33" tires and a Posi diff will get a 2wd about anywhere in the desert if you know how to drive.
