Jeezus, these pics make me feel like I live in the LAMEST location in the world. Crappy weather, boring scenery, urban congestion. Washington, DC.

So many wonderful pics! I just bought a digital. Where do I learn more about panoramas? (I'm a newbie)

Thanks a lot.

Check the software that came with your camera for a program to stitch them
together. If the camera didn't come with software, look through the thread
for links to softwaree.

To take pictures that you want to make into panoramas, either use a tripod
or keep the camera as level as possible and shoot two or more pictures
overlapping each by about 20 percent. This gives the software something to
overlay and stitch together.

Panoramas don't work well with things in motion (obvious reasons) like waves.
If you do shoot something like a beach shot, you'll need to work to stitch
them and will likely need something like photoshop (elements might work).

Good luck and get busy posting!

Laugh Yet more beautiful scenery...

...I sure hope I never get tired of it, if so, I might as well be dead!

Sunset at the south rim of the Grand Canyon NP. I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday? Unless maybe if I had had the company of someone from Toxic Brittney!

While in Big Bend this weekend, I tried shooting some pics to make some panoramas. Can anyone recommend a good freeware program for stitching them together? I'm not looking to spend money on this

Adios,
