That 4 banger photo makes sense to me when you need both rear wheels turning and independently. And to be on the safeside, you'll always have a back up motor in case the main one fails.
And it looks cool like the twin motor dragsters.

Welding
I hope all the welding shots had the ECU's unplugged. No point having a fixed up frame and an FI or ignition unit that's taken it's bat and ball home after having 36V shoved up it.
Most 12V ECU's will run up to 18V and survive 24V (ignition off). Welding with two batteries and the earth clamp nearer the weld than any ECU is theoretically just about safe, three batteries could be iffy regardless. Off topic: I once dealt with a warrenty claim on a truck ECU. There were burn marks on the case that matched a standard welding set earth clamp. Every single diode inside was blown and the main chips were toast. We rejected the claim! Andy |

Hi all,
Leigh from Adelaide, been lurking for a while now some interesting sidecars! As seen in previous threads SCray and myself have been setting up to design and create a new sidecar for Ray's Tiger 900. The ideas have been floating around for quite a while now. Soon one of us will start a new thread and try to keep the project up to date!!!!!!!!!!!!!
