Camping in the Rig...

Someone asked in a different thread to see what it looked like when I was using my rig as a camper. Since it was a bit off topic for that thread, I decided to post the photo here and just drop a pointer to this post there.

Maybe it will inspire some other folks as well???

Ripstop nylon top keeps the dew off, mesh sides allow airflow while keeping bugs out.
On rainy nights I just forgo setting up the nylon/mesh top and sleep inside the sidecar with the hood down and the side windows have screens to keep bugs out and the plastic ones positioned as "awnings" to allow airflow without letting the rain in.

Seat slides forward and leans back to allow me to stretch out almost completely flat inside. (with a small foam pad in floor of nose under my legs)
Second battery in trunk of sidecar powers lights/fan/laptop separate from main bike battery when parked/camped and recharges off of the bike when running down the road.

-----

Sleeping inside the sidecar with the lid down is also very "stealth"...
Good for simply pulling up somewhere and grabbing a quick night's sleep when just hauling through and you don't want to spend the time to set up camp...

Thanks for showing the "sleeper". I love it. My tiny sidecar would only sleep a small dog, and even then the pup would be deformed for life. The "Stealth' scenario is great! Of course with my wife along I'd still end up sleeping in the dirt.

That's one of the main uses I'll have for hacking my Vee eventually. I just wish my little ZG was up to the task as well.

I'd hack a 250 ninja.
Our 250 Reflex worked great.

Finally finished after 9 months. Got her home last night and it's p*ssing down rain. Nice.

Passenger body is being repainted and will be fitted Mid October.
