Ah, many moons ago I stayed for two weeks at the last cottage on the left before the bridge to Captiva. Remember it well, what a great place to relax. Got surprised by a gator crawling out of the ditch in the Ding Darling nature reseve, scared the hell out of the wife

Two Stroke Powered

I saw this Jawa and sidecar at a restaurant in Beckley, WV a couple of years ago. It's unusual even seeing a sidecar m/c around here, but even more so with a two stroke engine. I've seen a few Jawa motocross bikes but never a twin cylinder street bike.
Sorry I didn't get a better picture of the sidecar.

Does anybody have any idea of the size of the engine or the approximate year of the bike?

Here's our 2013 Ural Patrol in "see us coming" orange.

here are neighbors with my wife checking it out just after delivery.

Here's the wife during her first ride in the chair this past week (big smiles!)

Here are a couple of "on the road" shots.

Here it is with its stablemate.

Thanks. I used the Kendon to haul my track bike to VIR and CMS. But, I'm getting too old for that stuff so I went a direction of 180 degrees from track days by picking up a Ural.

That will be a 350, dont know the year, but you can still buy them in Europe. Heres the website of the UK importers, he also imports Urals to the UK. A man with good taste! http://www.f2motorcycles.ltd.uk

I remember quite a few Jawa's around here when I was younger .. we all hated them, horrible sound and smoked like mad.

Time does change one's perspective

hi -
this is a jawa californian 350 with a velorex sidecar. californians were also available as 250 singles (twin port) in the 70's (mainly for export)
afaik a derivative based on the 'californians' was also sold to the swedish army...

i used to have a 250, a very lovely bike with a superflimsy chassis though...

grumpybare,
Great looking Ural you got there, congrats. I got one almost just like it but mine is a 2012 and just has a Yamal decal on it, no Gear Up sticker.

My Yamal.
