A few pics of the outfits first outing from the Dinosaur Run in Colorado this past weekend. The unit worked good, was alot of work in the sand. Also made a good resting spot in the shade! I think I may be ready for Drone and the CDT this July

Tire?

Hey Nitromax, what rear tire are you running on that rig? I think you mentioned it was a Kenda but didn't say what one.

Rig looks great, glad to see you enjoying it!

Thanks for the compliments guys

No info on the Kenda. It says 75 P on the side but can't find it through Google. The shop I bought it from doesn't sell them anymore so maybe they are out of production ??

Not mine, but this is owned by one of the TU250 Rider members. I think it's the first time Ive seen a TU with a chair.

Apparently quite well. It's not going to break any speed records but for around town use its perfect. More info and pics here http://www.tu250riders.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2668

Thanks for the link. I've always like the TU250X and it looks like a very good match for the Cozy.

Thanks Frank. I'm pretty pleased with it. A little fine tuning yet to do. And yes it is really handy being able to carry everything I want for camping. I caught a lot of flack about all my gear I was carrying from the other guys on the outing
( A little jealous I think)

Freshened up my Victory rig...

...While it was out of service following a drive belt breaking and waiting on new belt, rear pulley/gear. Removed all the dog hair-infused carpet from the sidecar interior and painted it with Restore (Rustoleum product for refinishing dried out wooden decks and masonry). That stuff was like painting on wet concrete, but made a good dog-friendly finish. Also added a better shock to replace the stock Velorex one that couldn't hold up to the extra weight of the Victory wheel on the hack. And sprayed a fresh coat of rattlecan pickup bedliner to the hack frame and body. The new shock - Progressive Suspension one off a Harley - really seems to help handling. It has a stiffer spring and I jacked the preload all the way up. The old stock Velorex one had puked out all its oil and the rod was bent noticeably went I took it off. In fact, you can still see residue from the old shock's oil on the inside of the mud flap in the photo. My two goldie varmints seem to really like the new thick rubber mat I installed in the bottom as well.

First ride Saturday (I've since replaced the worn out front rubber):
