Oh yeah, its a 1997 Sputnik I found in NJ this past summer still in crate.
Very nice! I like that paint job, too!

SCORE!
Looks like y'all had a blast - hope you'll do the RR sometime!
*more pic's of the rig, please!

I did a shorter version when I picked up my rig, (Glide, OR to Olympia, WA via an 11 day trip) but never did a ride report... now some of those details have faded from memory.
Good on ya' though!

My first sidecar

Photos of my first sidecar. A 97 Sputnik Luks.

Mods include replacement of all bolts/nuts with grade 8 or steel. Bottom sidecar pan painted with truck bed liner. Lowes' black paint and Duplicolor Avignon blue (close to BMW Icerberg Silver.) New wiring using a trailer harness for quick disconnect. Oh yea, and a BMW sticker to confuse the hoi poloi.

If you are referring to my build, its a Dauntless sub frame and mounting system on a BMW F650GS. Its the same setup as Paul Mondor for his trip across Canada.

I was talking about the Suzuki Bandit posted above with no visible upper struts. But your build is nice too

Nice rig Krellheat I think the Sputniks go real well with the 650 GS.

I looked at the Sputniks since I prefer a metal hack but I got too good of a deal on the Friendship II I have so I used that instead.

Thanks. I was impressed by Paul Mondor's trip and his bike setup. Fortunately, I found the rig nearby state for a fair price. The PO purchased it in 98 from Dauntless to install on his Funduro for his wife to ride. She did not want to so it sat in his garage crated and waiting for me.

Hey that is my bike or at least it's evil twin!
They sure are pretty even dark and dirty

Thumb Bingham

Look at this Bingham I just picked up for $250 A little rough, but the price was right!

I owe Monica $225 for teaching last month-now she owes me $25

If she can get her old Pacific Coast running, we will probably try and hang it off of that.
