LOL - walked right into that one!

I'm figuring Ella will just kind of go in the floor of the tub, and just rest her head on Jodie's lap (she often just naps anyway). Here's a pic of both of them, for scale:

You could try putting a flat pillow on GF's lap for the dog to sit on. The cushion is mostly to prevent dog from sliding betwen GF's knees. Use Doggles, please. (or make your own by adding a chin strap to swimming goggles) Using a harness instaed of a collar will make it easier to hang onto the dog. Sometimes Rosie gets excited and tries to climb out on the nose (for full-body effect I guess), so gentle restraint is a good thing.

Thanks Ernie, the pillow's a good idea. Already been looking at Doggles, just got to decide color and order. Heard some other folks talk about having a harness too - I'm figuring we'll be doing that as well.

Guess we answered that

Patrol arrived today! And it looks like we can get both Jodie and Ella in the hack. They aren't riding in it yet (not till I've driven it a while and feel comfortable with the rig), so we'll how things go once we all 3 hit the road. But so far, so good... now to order Ella's doggles...

Congrats! Lookin forward to seeing your rig around town. You can get the doggles right here in Eugene at Lexi Dog in the 5th St Market or at Wags on Coburg Rd.

G/day all

Here are a couple of photo's of my mate DJ a Jack Russell, possibly one of the most travelled dogs in a sidecar in Oz.
we got him as a 6 week old puppy back in June 1990, attended his first rally 2 weeks later, a 2500km round trip.

This is at the famous Wombat pub in NSW, on the way to or back from a rally, I can't remember.

Outback Oz, on the Darling river at Tilpa.

At the WA/SA border with Sally my wife.

In September 2006, he passed away at one of his favourite rally's, the Dargo High Plains rally in the high country of Victoria, (he had attended 14 Dargo rally's).

So I thought it only appropiate to bury him there.

with a view to die for

Cheers

Thank you Thrux, we'd been looking for a local source to get Doggles.

And thanks Vernon, definitely taking it slow for now. Nothing in the hack right now but 3 bags of stove pellets (about 120 lbs.) - 2 in the tub, 1 in the trunk.

We have 7 dogs have only tried this one in the hack. She crawled from the hack right into my lap the first time we put her in (the dog not the girl). The Dunstall pipes don't seem to bother her (the girl or the dog).

Mya and HD

Here is Mya just before she decided to take a run at a porcupine. So much for enjoying the ride! I'm in the process of trying to train her to be good in the hack. It is a struggle!

Nice doggy! And that's one damn fine looking Harley, too.
