We should be able to find something, but walkin is the best route at this time.

Seems lots of no shows.

local question...

I live over in Navarre and I've been in the market for a new brain bucket for a while now with limited success in FWB & P'cola. Question is there a shop over there with a selection worthy of making the trip?

Three of the ones I'm looking to try on for fit are the Shoei X-11 (lg), Shoei Multitec (lg), and a Shark RSI.

Thanks y'all!

Try the Helmet House in Daytona. That's about the best place to look and try on.

Wicked

I can't come today... I gotta work but I'll be eating a free lunch today (again)...

Florida Motorsports is having free hot dogs and cokes from noon to... Oh hell... I'll let them tell it....

http://tallahassee.craigslist.org/mcy/788786029.html

I'll be there from about 11:30am until about 1:30pm and will probably be on my Ninja if the heat doesn't drive me into my cage.

I want to test ride a KTM and a Ducati!

This should be a GREAT event with free test rides of some of those expensive European motos.

I expect to start riding in the forest again within a few more weeks but the heat and the bugs are keeping my desire factor at a low ebb right now.

I may be able to get over thata way round noon time. Wish the stuff for the KLR was here. I feel like I could do some tar right now as long as I behave myself.

Thank you

I appreciate the advice.

Barracuda Motorsports in FWB here has a nice selection of Arai and Shoei, but they are lacking those two helmets in the right size for me. I'm gonna hit up Pensaccola today to see if anyone has anything new.

Thanks again,
Afweinie

New handlebars for the DR

Went to Florida Motorsports after pulling off the bars to see if I could find close-enough match. I had to fight my way through the crowd of 1 customer and ended up with a nice pair of Renthals. I'll have it back together tomorrow.

Would it be bad karma if I ride it to my doc appt on Tuesday?

Yeah, I was there for about thirty minutes. Good deal on the bars! I'm going to be on the bike for my next appointment

I stopped by there, took a test ride on the Hypermotard...

I don't think it would do so well on the trails, but it's definately a FUN ride!! The first time I caught a little air under the front tire was an accident; the other times, not so much

Great place,

Print out the best price on the web and bring it with you, they will match it.

Bought a HJC Symax II for 206.

Went to the doc today

He said he was impressed with how well it was healing and that I was about "a week to 10 days ahead of schedule." Man, that was music to my ears.

Here is a (bad) pic of the knee just after the operation.

My bike is back together and the rain should make the roads in the forest real nice. HTSR - you got your knobbies back on yet?

This could lead to mischievous activity!

I rode the last hour of daylight yesterday on my KLX250S on some National Forest roads and they were hardpacked.

I did find some "saturated sand" though that acted just like mud which gave me fits.

All in all it was a good ride and my new Contintental TKC-80 tires seem to be pretty good offroad and great on the pavement. The howling noise from the rear factory OEM tire is gone and that's a HUGE improvement.

I'm baaaack!

Well, the DR is back together and the leg is mostly functional. I took the bike out for a little spin today for a 'test ride.' I needed that!

Here is a pic of the completed bike and the old bars
