The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Beautiful work! I hope mine looks as good when she's done. Where did you manage to find the VHR exhaust? I can't find anyone but Marshall/Laser who still makes 'em.

My next little venture, have not decided completely on design yet. Currently looking for a pipe, found some drag handlebars to tighten things up a bit, I may go with the GSXR wheels, not sure yet

Good on ya! I'll keep looking there myself, and see of maybe another sharp VHR, Yosh or Kerker shows up..........

I forgot to post this one. After I sold my 89 11E I picked up this 85 1150E.
It was an improvement. That smaller front wheel lightened the steering nicely, it shifted better, the speedometer went past 85 too!
I pulled it from some guy's garage. His wife had browbeaten him to stop riding a couple of years ago, and then she bitches at him about the bike sitting in the garage for the past 2 years. That's where I came in.

Nice job on the seat, eh!

42k on the odo, absolutely mint condition barring a few dings on the tank. Bought it for $950, the guy had just put on new Metzeler tires, a new battery, chain, sprocket. It also has an updated alternator and a Lockhart oil cooler. It has spoke wheels with alloy rims, I'm a little confused as I thought they only started making hte spoke wheels in '79. I rode it back from Macedon to Ithaca (80 miles) and the bike is fantastic, it cruises comfortably at just about any speed you're willing to hang on at, I was sitting at 65mph with the revs at 4k and felt like I could do this for 500 miles a day easy.

I can't wait to do some touring on this thing!

Lovely GS.. looks very underbraked though! We never had single disc front in UK, + is that a drum on the back, nice colour too.
