Seriously though, I hope you heal/healed up just fine.

Ok, I appreciate all the sharing, but isn't this getting a little close to male porn? Enough already with the hairy arse and crotch shots!

I have an old school photo from way back in the 90's... just before the Olymipics in Atlanta. Ponce De Leon road was being repaved. I hit a man hole cover that was up probably 6-8" in a corner. Then I hit the curb.

The K75 BMW landed on top of me, the hot pipe burning through my leg. Mind you, this was before digital cameras, but I did get a B&W QuickCam (look it up newbies) shot.

Look for the cooked meat later.

Ow! That one reminds me of some especially painful shots I took back when I was fighting sword and shield with the Society for Creative Anachronism.

And I don't think I have pads THERE.

Whoa! At the risk of sounding like a 9 year old...'That's freakin cool". I'm sure it hurt and really sucked to go through but what is that thing? And where do those pins go? Into bone or what? Damn!!

Oh, I hope you're doing better now too. How's the wrist moving now that you have the Cyberdyne Systems T-1000 'Stableloc' off?

The pins did go into the bone. It's an external fixator. I broke the radius, so

plating or ex-fix were the only options. After six weeks the ex-fix came out.

I had 90+% mobility in one month, for most it takes 6 months plus, and often

80% or so recovery is all that's attained.

I'm 95% or better now.

btw, the doc kicked me out of physical therapy after 4 weeks.

!!!!!!!!!!!!

This made me mad. Wrecked on 9/26/08. Just got the cast of my leg Monday. Just started PT, my therapist about pooped himself when he saw my leg. It was funny! He made me feel like I was a newly discovered life form.
