Rigs

Antsaint asks:

3 rigs? What were they running? When I took my class it was 2 KLRs and 2 Bandits - and dont' get me started on how much I didn't like those Bandits!

All three were KLRs. Two of them were fitted with Enduro sidecars, and the third had a Sputnik. Cory and Marcia brought their Ural Gear-up.

Monica flew the sidecar around the range for a couple of laps while we were on break. She doesn't know I put this together

Do You Wanna be a Bird? from Adventure Sidecar on Vimeo.

I dont know why embed isn't working with vimeo here anymore. Too bad as it is much clearer than you tube. You can still get ther by clicking the links beneath the box or you can just go to YOUTUBE- I put it up there too

Monica didn't know about the vid? Oh man, she's so gonna smack you around!

Pretty sweet with those 3 KLRs. I enjoyed those much more than the bandits - course, with my height, a hacked KLR is the only I'll ever be riding one and not be singing soprano!

Bumped back from P2

Because I can!

Leaving today from Oly to go by way of either FS 25/90/51/30 or 23/141 *done both routes before on the /6... and the former in the opposite direction on the initial ride home with the sidecar.

Any info on these routes? I'd hate to get half way there only to have to turn around and try a different one. I'll check the forestry service bulletins, but figured y'all might have some inside info... will check back here around lunchtime if'n you get a chance to reply.

Tschuess!

Just called Cowlitz Valley district office and it's still gated (25)at both ends... My alternate is also closed due to washouts?! Crikey...

Guess I'll go the long flat wet-side route. Been over White pass twice this month already.
Tanks!

Laugh heh!

Ran into the weather just west of North Bonneville - felt good to get cooled off. Only had one problem the way back... all the nice folks on their cruzers going 40MPH on the 14 .

Thanks - good class and a fun time both!
No, I do not drive it like this! Even if it is raining...

Oh, I've seen how you drive

Thanks for coming, I enjoyed having you in class. I got things packed up just before the rain hit and got to watch a pretty good lightning show...
