Last official word I've heard was that the WaDOL does not accept out of state S/TEP classes for the driving endorsement. This includes my Adventure Sidecar classes.

I have heard from several of my former students that they have taken the card from my class to the DOL and been given their endorsement. That's great and I think it should work that way, but I wouldn't count on it.

If you sucessfully complete my class you should have no problem passing the Wa DOL test, but the official word as far as I know is you are required to take that test. YMMV and if your local DOL office accepts the card, great, but I don't make you any promises that they will.

Well, I only got mine because of my charm, good looks and the kisses I blew.

But seriously, the guy said that it was the first one he's seen, but he wasn't surprised at all about me presenting it. No looking it up, no conference with a manager or anything. He got right to it as if he did it everyday.

That looks like fun. Makes me wonder what I'd pick up after 30 years- all on old Beemers/Steibs.

Just wondering- would the WA po-leese take my rig with an out-of-state license?

I had been riding sidecars for years when I took the class in preparation for the instructors training. The people who taught me had NO street experience on sidecars. I learned a bunch and had fun! YMMV

if you are legal in your state you are legal in all states(of the Union ;-)

the forfiture laws apply to Washington residents without legal licensure to drive the vehicle they are stopped in.

Is it legal to ride in Oregon a WA Bike with a WA 3 wheel learners permit? I have a full WA 2 wheel endorsement and insurance.

I believe the rule is if you are legal to drive in your own state you are legal in all 50 states. So as long as you are complying with the terms of your learners permit you should be OK. I don't work for DMV so I dont know, I am just guessing- contact the Oregon DMV or State Police for the final word.

Adventure Sidecar classes are taught on private property, so if your rig is insured and in safe working order, you may use it during class, if you wish, even without a license.
