Read all the info and started the job. Took a while, but be assured that copious amounts of violent beating will eventually bring you the results. With a couple of properly sized drifts and lots of welly, the bolt eventually gave way. The bolt is slavageable, the nut is toast but job done. Drilled a hole in the case to inject spook piss and other release agents, but I'm not convinced any of it did any good. So go to the gym and practice your hammer swing before you attemt this one and you'll be successful.

If you're dual sporting...yes. But for trail riding, a trials tire in the rear can have a lot of benifits.

Held up fine, and the current owner of this bike still uses the PVC rack I built.
I didn't put that much weight on it - my Aerostich panniers held clothes for the trip.....rolled up t-shirts, socks....
Under the rack sits a Moose tailpack, and there's a little stuffsack on top of the rack with some small stuff in it. A MotionPro tool/fannypack was wrapped around the rack and sat on the rear of the seat.
The ATV bags draped over the seat carried the MSR gas bottle, oil, some tire stuff - things I didn't want touching my clothes
Not that much weight was cantilevered out there.... but there was more capacity on this subframe than my buddy's 525.
