I think we are saying the same thing. The FJR is more of a big-engined sedan that's kinda sporty whereas the Sprint is more of a sports car. The ST11/13 aren't as sporty as either, but I knew on the test ride that it was for me.

To get this back on topic, here's a ST pic:

Does anybody have any torque values for the bolts on the ST1100 Helibars? I am getting a little more of a buzz in my throttle-side grip than in my clutch-side grip. I have tried to tighten the bolts a little but I can't tell when I should stop... Yes I have the bar-ends on...

Very light, that's what.

Get a set of these:

http://randakks.com/Grips.htm

Or, at least get a set when Randakk returns from vacation Aug. 17 and re-enables the link.

Could I have the bolts too tight? Could that cause a vibe?

And I already have a pair of those grips... Progrips sells them just at about every big website on the planet, they just market them as "dual-sport". I get irritated with all these other vendors who say they have some special source for them

I think I'm going to do a valve check on my ST1100 with the bad gas mileage. Dunno what I want to find when I look!

Wait 'till Captain Cheapskate finds out what Honda charges for the valve shims.

I already looked On the off chance that all of them need to be replaced, that's about $100 just for shims!

Thankfully, after checking it twice it doesn't appear I need any. Phew! Now that leaves one more thing that I can't blame my bad gas mileage on

What tires our you guys with the 13 liking? I've run two sets of BT020's, but this time around I'm leaning toward Michelin Pilot Road 2's after reading a bunch of good reveiws on 'em.
Thanks.

The Michellin's have a more rounded profile than the Bridgestones which are more of a "V" profile. This will slow your turn in some and take a bit of the sporty away.

I'm trying out the Conti Road Attacks, similar profile as the Bridgestones but they seem to be wearing less. I've taken it down to the pegs and they feel secure.

Time will tell, but a few others who have similar rates of corner speeds are getting 1-1.5k more from the Contis than the Bridgestone's

YMMV
