My ST1100 is great. Where you're riding it, as well as your riding style and loading will all affect it, of course. If your pillion is, say, the size of my mother, perhaps a GoldWing (or a pickup) would be better. If the size of my wife, then you'll hardly notice her back there.

My wife and I take a Goldwing allover the country complete with camping gear, but she actually likes riding on the ST better. If we are only going to be gone for a few days we take it. Sometmes we go 200 miles without a stop and she is still happy.

BTW, she sleeps on the back of the wing, but doesn't on the ST.....maybe it's the way I ride

I just picked up my ST1300ABS a few days ao. a very nice ride so far. I guess I cant be called Cali_Beemer anymore since I sold the GS for it. I really dig the smooth V-4 motor and handling is by far better than what you would expect from a bike this heavy.
