Seantx - mind if i ask what mirrors you used? I have been thinking of a new setup on my K100rs as the stock mirror/signal combos are so thrashed.

Thanks!

PS - nice bike

Cycle Gear cheapos - nothing special. They are too small, too low and stick out too far. I will replace them when I can find something I actually like. These were put on just so I could get back on the road.

Yeap for the General Store Monday night dinners and breakfast on Sunday's from 10am on, and I have no idea why the k's are more affordable, I think they are just about the same cost all across the country.

The rides down the coast to Big Sur this winter(lack of rain) has been magnificent.

This is my $300 93 K1100RS. (I bought it somewhat disassembled last August for $500 and sold the "upholstered" system cases that came with it for $200.) It had sat for two years with a slipping clutch so I replaced the clutch plate, changed the fluids and got it running again. The ABS even works!

Here it is today.

Thing is I bought it to flip. But I put a lot of work into it and when I was riding it today it REALLY ran well now so I'm gonna have a hard time parting with it.

But if I keep then it my red 94 will get jealous.

So many K bikes, so little time....

I took the K out for a rip the other day.I had all the panniers and top box on just to get a feel. Nice ride, gobs of power (well from what I ride now everything has gobs of power). I did find a bit of clatter from early on in the revs (1st-3rd gear low rpm) Maybe Im short shifting. Also, I found when releasing the clutch to engage gear there was a bit of a "clunk" or gap. Somewhat like my old R100 but more pronounced.. Probably just me.
77000 (Kilometers) on the dial..ABS Heated grips. Beauty.. Its just a matter of price (none yet, the owner is looking for a newer bike) Patience.. Ill keep posting when I know more
