I just drove back through Shenandoah (in a mini van) on a trip from the Asheville area to DC. Beautiful country. Looks like lots of parks/forests and civil war history. Would love to do it on one of my bikes, just not sure about the timing.

k1300s
the rumor is bmw will soon cease production of the k1300s sport touring bike . i will hate to see it go . the k1300s is a beautiful motorcycle . my guess is that bmw is going to build the k1600s . the k1600s super bike was shown in concept form last year . it is a striking and gorgeous bike . i will be first in line to own a new k1600s if bmw decides to green light the k1600s motorcycle . the last k1300s may already have been produced . we shall see . thank you .

I would be one of the first in line if they brought a 3 cylinder back. My K is sooooo smooth.

Smooth? If you want a smooth K get the new 6 cylinder. No counter-balancer needed because the inherent balance of the first and second order balance of the straight 6.

But was also looking for smaller and flickable. Thus the three. My K1200R is extremely smooth, though others don't seem to share my luck.

This was me at 96K miles and loaded for bear. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=163
This is me last weekend (Rt 9 Vermont) at 118K miles, as close as an LT can get to an "S" model. 35 states down, south to Louisiana, west to California, north to James Bay, East to Newfoundland. Still have Key West, Baja, and Alaska on the list..

Too big for my tastes personally. I don't really care for it at all.

As someone who was introduced to and sold on triples through the K75, I feel I'm allowed to suggest that you guys who wish there was a modern version should take a look at Triumphs. If BMW would take half that K1600 motor and make a K800ST, I'd be all over it. For now though, I'm replacing my K75 with a Tiger.
