Hey Dino!

I bought your Extra GS wheels last year. Still beating them to death! How are liking that Capo you swithced to? I am interested in them but the shorter suspension stops me from jumping ship. Looks like you are putting it to the test though nice pics.

I'm considering a 2007 Capo and was curious about aftermarket seat and windshield options. I'm 6' 4" and not certain if the stock set up will work for me. Anyone?

I am 6'4" and I find the stock screen fine. Shorter riders complain of buffeting. Givi makes a taller screen.

Your only seat options that I know of is if you went with a full custom like a Russel or a Mayers. I had my foam modified by Spencer Seat mods (google it) and have done 700 mile days without much pain.

Your gonna love the capo. It is a great bike for tall guys.

You can find a lot more information on www.apriliaforum.com in the CapoNord section.

Newbie with a Capo

I just bought a 2002 Capo last weekend and I love it. I've already put 500 miles on it just riding after work. It's a great ride! Love the exhaust(remus titanium) and it is so comfortable. I used to ride a Honda RC51. I don't think I'll ever go back to a sport bike.

hi..i would like to ask some questions.

How many litres of Engine Oil needed?

How many km/ltr?

What probably needed for repairs if there's likely to have for a bike that is 49,000km?

what are the most worried situation suffered on the bike?

thanks to any kind souls who would spend sometime answering.....potential buyer...i am now logging on the AFI still on page 39 after an hour long browsing the capo photos pages.and one photo of a Raid capo on a wheelie with a pro rider has got me turned on!

Question Hello that such greetings from Mexico !

Hello that such greetings from Mexico !

I have several questions on the spoke wheels tubeles of its motorcycle, i hope can help me.

1. That so the rim works ?
2. That price has the two complete wheels ?
3. Somebody can please put photos of the hubs, the rim, the rotors and systems of brakes ?
4. Somebody has the complete wheels that work well that it wishes to sell ?
All this is so that the measures of the wheels of the Aprilia Caponord are the same one that those of the V-Strom, to excepction of the size of the disc of back brake and I believe that serious a good option to do but off road to the V-Strom with the wheels of the Capo without realising many modifications to the V-Strom.

Thanks for their attention and its aid, excuse my English.

Love the Capo! Much better bike on the road and 2 up than the GS was. The difference off-raod is better feel from the front end but I did have to slow the pace in the really rough stuff. bike works really well on the race track too......

I may or may not buy another Capo. So far I see no other bike to replace it, especially when 2up is part of the equation. Meanwhile I have a few Capo parts for sale. See Aprilia forum link below,

Going to look at a 2007 new Capo that is a decked out demo. Assuming that I like the bike what is a good price in US dollars. Have it listed at $13,995 down from the ~17k+ of the list cost with options. MSRP looks like $12,999, cannot imagine where $4000+ in options came from. Most I could see paying is $12,500 OTD considering the big loss when I leave the showroom.

What is the consensus here on price?

What are the options? It sounds like too much as I got mine out the door for 12k. The dealer I bought from had a new 06 marked down to 9500 about 2-3 months ago.

Agreed.

$4k in options? I guess that would be heated grips and flasher relay (plug and play, easy), CF bellypan and cooler grills ('spensive), side cases, center stand, not sure what else there is from 'the factory.'

I think I did all that stuff (most not 'factory,') other than the CF skid thing, added a Stebel horn, Zumo 550, Skidmarx hugger and screen, CF1 fuse panel, for about the same price or less - plus a couple of six packs, and some entertaining hours in the man cave. Then promptly put 3300 miles on it.

I agree it seems high by a grand or two. Almost sounds like they're (at least) doing a 2008 Euro/dollar conversion on the original MSRP price.

And I can't imagine $4k in options- I've equipped mine very well (everything but the RR forks) for less than 1/2 that.

See if you can find what new Capos have recently sold for on ebay. In either case, if you really need a new one, a non insulting low-ball bid would be appropriate: the dealer has an asset that isn't appreciating, and probably won't.

There is also an aluminum top box as well as the Rally Raid rear shock, tapered bar/riser/clamp combo and front fender. A low seat is available as well as a tank bag.

Not certain what the options are but I do know that an 07 Capo is worth $9500 as soon as it is driven out the door. Considering that it is a demo that is my base for what the stripped bike is worth. I can't see paying more than $1500 for cases including topbox In my estimation it is not worth more than $12k OTD.

Sound right?
