What's Your Gas Mileage?

I have a 2004 BMW F 650 GS. I get about 61 - 63 miles per gallon.

I'm curious what your bike gets? Kawasaki, Honda, BMW, KTM, Suzuki. . . any engine size will do.

Here is a compilation of some of the responses:

Buell Twin = 65 mpg
DR650 = 54-63 mpg
2001 F650GS = 60-70 mpg
2003 F650GS = 61-63 mpg
Suzuki DR200SE = 104 mpg
KTM SMC 625 = 55 mpg
DRZ400S = 44 mpg
ZRX1100R = 44 mpg
1982 R80GS = 35.5 mpg
KTM 990 = 36-40 mpg
KTM 450EXC = 40 mpg
DRZ400 = 40 mpg
Triumph Scrambler = 55 mpg
KLR650 = 50-52 mpg
2006 BMW 1200GS = 40-50 mpg
KLR650 = 55 mpg
02 F650 Dakar = 40-66 mpg
2007 DL650 = 50-52 mpg
1974 R90/6 = 42 mpg
1989 Transalp = 35-44mpg
1991 KLR650 = 40-45 mpg
Transalp = 40-55 mpg
1982 Honda Silverwing GL500 = 50's mpg
2001 650GS = 75 mpg with 45 tooth sprocket
2001 650GS = 65 mpg with 47 tooth sprocket
DL650 = 20-25 km/L
2004 1200R Sportster = 65 mpg
Lowrider = 53 mpg
KTM 640adv = 32 mpg
Honda XR650L = 35 mpg
Honda GL1200 = 40 mpg
F650GS = 63 mpg
1999 1100GS = 38-39 mpg
Honda 500C = 40 mpg
GS650 X-Country = 70 mpg
KLR 14 front tooth 45 rear = 42mpg, 15 front 45 rear = 45mpg, 15 front 43 rear =48mpg
V-strom = 45 mpg
V-max = 33 mpg
1990 Transalp = 53.2 mpg

My DR650 got 63 new... now with lowered gearing and modded carb, 54ish

Since I had the computer flashed on my 01 F650GS it gets 70 mpg. Before it was closer to 60.

R1100RS: about 45-50
Wifes TW200: 80+?
XR650R: who gives a shit?

Have an 03 F650GSD get the same (61-63mpg) with a full touring load.

The stable mileage champ is our Suzuki DR200SE that if you cruise it at 4500-4800 rpm it will get about 104 mpg.

What are you doing to get mileage like that?

I get 44mpg on my 400cc single...

And 44mpg on my 1100cc I4...

WTF???

1982 R80G/S - 35.5 assuming the online calculator conversion I used was correct - converted from 15.1 km/l.

I feel somewhat..... inadequate.

Best case numbers, I get 36 to 40 on my 990 Adventure, 40 on the Doctor Zed, and 40 on the 450EXC, all depending on how hard I flog it of course.

About 50 - 52 mpg on KLR650 at around 70 mph (true).
