'99 Buell S3T around 50 with the wide bags @ 70-80mph. Best ever was 56
'92 R100gspd low 30's with aluminum boxes @ 70-80mph. Keep it @ 65 and get high 30's

The Buell has 200cc more displacement, with 40 more horsepower. Something to be said for fairings, gearing and fuel injection.

06 klx250s w/stock gearing (14/42), Muzzy full exhaust, rejetted: 48-50 mpg. w/15/42 gearing, + added small windshield: 54 mpg overall. On dirt roads 35-50 mph: 58 mpg. On the freeway 65-70 mph: 52mpg.

05 FJR1300: 45 mpg at 80 mph windshield in lowest position. Best was in the rockies: 57.5 mpg.

01 CBR929: 36-37 mpg on my normal loop.

02 DL1000: 43 mpg around town. Best was 57.5 mpg up in the rockies. Altitude really does make a difference.

dynojet kit, slipon

~40 mpg, low today of 36, at 3000-6000 ft i get 48 mpg, but loss of power. could be the lack of throttle application on long downhills?

before dynojet i was getting ~50 mpg.

Laugh New 2008 WeeStrom

Hard Break In Ride 200 miles 5,000-10,000 RPM approx 27 mpg (oh well, was wringing it out)
Now normal 65-75 mph riding 45-50 mpg (that's more like it)
Steady 100 mph approx 30 mpg (thought it would be better than that)
Best in CO at altitude 55 mpg (In Colorado, wouldn't have cared what it was but that was the icing on the cake)

*All mph adjusted for Suzuki's stupid 10% optimistic Wee speedo

KLR and Concours

Hey Now,

KLR when new 55-60 mpg, after mods and riding harder -- 50 mpg (60-65 mpg on commute); with IMS tank, hitting reserve at 310-325 miles. When I first got the KiLleR I used to short shift between 3500-4000 rpm, now it is more like 5000 rpm after the typical mods, just love flogging the KiLleR

Connie 45-50 mpg when learning how to ride her, now 40 mpg (80-85 mph on commute). The gal perks up after 7000 rpm, been playing around that neighborhood for a while now.

I have a 60 mile round trip daily commute.
