To everyone: Is there any place yet that we have been that is favored or de we keep searching for our spot?

So ... the next get together ,,, how about August 26, 27 or 28th? Any day stand out as bad or better?

I need ideas for the Minneapolis side ... as far (out as Delano (?) maybe) ... of the cities this time.

GOOD NEWS! I've finally picked up a Dual Sport. It's ratty, and was cheap (just like me). Look for an official announcement soon. It should be ready to go by the August M&G.

Kind of the same theme as Donatelli's (restaurant in a strip mall in the suburbs), but the food is really good - I love the Bola Red Chili.

+1 on Lone Spur. Haven't tried the chili, but the BBQ isn't bad.

I agree with the comments on Lone Spur. It's a good spot.

Maybe we should shoot for a bit earlier in the month? (Purely selfish reason: I'm heading to the SWern states on the 23rd for 2+ weeks of riding).

Wife and I eat at the Lone Spur a couple times per month. Food is good as the value (Food quality per $).
I the MG is before the 8/22 or after 9/2 I should be able to attend.

kinda crazy with all the rallies going right now but.. I'm having a little get together that you should try to attend. All I can say for now is - it will be 1 hour north of the metro sometime in Sept/early Oct. I'm leaving tuesday for a rally in colorado and should be back around the 23rd of Aug. look forward to meeting you

I am very much looking forward to the "little get together" GS Diablo is putting together. Heck I am already partway there if it is an hour north of the metro. Be careful out west.

We will meet at the Freedom gas station in White Bear Lake. It is along the stretch where hwys 61 and 96 run together. Kick stands up at 9:00.

We will ride gravel and back roads to Marine on St. Croix, thru Osceola, St. Croix Falls, the "barrens" area of Wisconsin ending up north of Grantsburg in the Crex Meadows area. I expect to put on close to 250 miles. I hope to be back home around 6:00.

I'll be riding my KLR, but others have ridden this route with me in the past on Vee-Stroms with no trouble. There is some deep sand in places.
