I have a '01 I/S with 40k miles. It's a fantastic touring bike; especially when considering the design is 10 years old. One publication called it the Cruiser of the Decade back in 1999.

While I haven't ridden a '10 RG, I've spent quite a bit of time on top-of-the-line Electra Glides and Road Kings, all 2002 - 2007 models. With all due respect to you and other HD owners, they weren't in the same ballpark as the Valkyrie in terms of handling and power. And I say that with no malice.

If you like your new RG and it fits you well, then good on ya. All I can say is that The Motor Company must have made some dramatic improvements. Everybody's gotta ride what makes em happy...best wishes to you and the RG.

I remember when my mate was looking for another bike years ago.
He walked in to the HD shop...The owner knew us..
He said to Highbinder .. You put way to many miles on a bike to
have a Harley hold it's value..

Quite a bit different... the frames of the Wings are made differently. Even the wings different models have differences (1200/1500/1800 cc).

However, a little modification can get you really close between the two. (Risers, Pegs, Seat) A lot of Valkyries out there already have aftermarket seats, risers, pegs, etc. to change the ergos. Mine's still factory... for me, it's comfy just as is.

Basically... like any other bike... the ergos can be drastically changed with just a few bolt-on parts.

Someone shot me this thread. Here, I thought I was one of just a few Valk owners using this site. As you might guess from the handle, mine's the 3 wheel rig and we use it as our family SUV. Can still fit all 4 of us for now, but that may not last much longer.

Almost a Valk owner

I just missed out on a 97 tourer with 19k miles for $4200. At that price I could have ridden it with a for sale sign and still made money a year later. But I know I would probably just kept it. I'll keep looking for a deal.

Thanks. It's been sold under a couple of names, but isn't made anymore. Originally called a Gemini, but most recently sold as a Texas Sidecar. Unfortunately, the molds burned in a fire and they don't think it's worth recreating them.
