We're going to install a supercharger on a Valkyrie at the shop. I'll let ya know how it turns out. They're about 3-4 weeks out lead time so it'll be awhile. Supposed to power wheelie off throttle,no clutch. Oughta be an interesting ride.

OK they are Kury brand pegs and mounts..
But I'm not sure out of the few mounts that Kury has .. It doesn't look like ergo's .. Ergos are the mounts that have the big knuckle at the mount on the engine guard.. I hope this helps...

Tracy,
I'm planning to take the week of Labor Day off and explore some twisties with my girlfriend. We haven't formalized our route but would like to ride around your area, include the Dragon's Back and any other routes you can recommend. We might start out in SW VA and work our way north, maybe include some of WV before returning to Portsmouth. We have a week to kill to take in the sights. My girlfriend insists we stay at nicer hotels vs whatever we find along the way. I've outfitted the Valk with a big Tourmaster T-bag, throttle lock, and have a J&M handlebar CB and EdSets headsets on order so I can hear the GPS on the iPhone, we can talk to each other and maybe other riders (most of the local Honda Riders of Tidewater (mostly Goldwings) stay in touch via CB on rides so this will continue to be useful). I also ordered the 2000+ stock seat but it probably won't arrive in time for the trip. Any routes you can recommend would be greatly appreciated!

Tracy,
How is the weather and temperature range up there during the first week of September? It's been awhile since I made a similar trip maybe 5 or 6 years ago and spent the whole week at Deals Gap. I remember it ranged from cool mornings up to fairly hot afternoons with a few showers. Has the Dragon's Back become the zoo that Deals Gap is on the weekends?

Hey Rick ....
Sorry it took me time to get back to you, been super busy on the farm... Well there is the Snake aka ShadyValley...US 58 Mouth of the Wilson cool roads And our VA 16 (Back of the Dragon) as you said... But there are many other cool roads .. VA 80 to Breaks Interstate park... Hayters gap road (Meadowview )also 80... And Highbinder said you are staying in Bastian There are NO hotels there ... We are having company at that date . Other wise ya'll could have stayed here... But I would suggest Marion VA as a place to stay ... Then you are at the start of The Back of the Dragon.. And Hungry Mother St. Park ...Also Big Walker Mountain US 52 not to far away ... NO Back of the Dragon is not a zoo.. Yet ...Weather Pretty much what you said .. Can be warm at daytime Cold/cool a night... And can be very wet... But we are in a mild drought.. So don't know about if it will be wet... I'll shoot ya a PM ... With our Phone number...

I've ordered the America Rides Maps and hope they will be handy: http://americaridesmaps.com We will look for a place in Marion then and use it as a base for day trips. I don't think we can get out there soon enough for the "Meet in the Middle" ride promoted on VRCC. I posted a thread over there asking for suggested routes as well.

Folks on the VRCC convinced me to make it to the Meet in the Middle ride 01SEP12 at West Jefferson, NC. We'll stay there that night, maybe more than one night, then move up to Marion, VA.
