Ok, Thanks about the tire pressure. I'm so anal about the tire pressure on my bikes and cars, I didn't even think about that on his bike. I'll call him and ask him to check it for me. Keep the ideas coming, I'm leaving for work soon, I'll check back later.

Well thought I should add a picture of my power cruiser for the year, that would be 1997. Great power full and smooth bikes

Excellent!

How is the trailer-hitch carrier working out?[/quote]

The trailer hitch carrier works great. Has it loaded on 2 trips last year. I couldn't even tell it was there.

Would depend on year/mileage/condition .. as with any used bike.
I sold my 99 with 29k on the ticker for 7k (US$), but that was about 5 yrs ago.

Here is an update: I pulled the trigger and bought the 97 Valkyrie that I had been looking at. I have not picked it up yet, that will happen on Friday the 13th, of all days. I'm really looking forward to getting this bike. Before I looked and rode the Valkyrie, they never even crossed my mind. Now, I think about it all the time! A couple of things that I think I need, it's a standard so I'm going to need some luggage. I prefer soft luggage on this bike, either leather of synthetic bags and a tank bag. Please tell me what you all like and use. Pictures and links would be great too. As soon as I get out of the computer stoneage and learn how to post pictures, you all will see the new addition!

Ask your questions here where a bunch of valk-riders hang out: http://valkyrie-owners.com/SMFORUM/index.php#6

Enjoy!

Congrats on the purchase of the Valkyrie, BigChris. You'll have to post some pics after you get it home.

Just found this old photo while digging through some stuff.

I loved that bike, but . . . it just didn't get ridden once I got into dual-sport bikes.

I've got a '99 Valk, have had it for almost 9 years now and 46k miles.

Just picked up an '07 V-Strom 1000 and will be selling the Valk.

I remember when RAW used to post on the VRCC board. I always thought he had one of the best looking Valks and still do. If I could have 2 bikes and keep the Valkyrie, I would love to do mine up like RAWs was!

Just a quick note to say my '97 Bumble Bee is for sale here in Colorado.
There is a post in the flea market.
Perfect shape, beautiful bike. 6.5K takes it home.

Hey fellow DragonRiders ...
Some of you might not know the VRCC has changed formats..
You now have to reg. once again...They had been getting way to much spam.
