not an owner

I don't have a Valkyrie and it seems unlikely that I ever will, but this is one of my favorite bikes that I've ever seen. Is it a Valkyrie?

This is Barry's Valk, over 100,000 miles on it and runs sweet as a nut It's used all year round for rallies all over the UK, but mainly in Scotland, he lives in Cornwall. It sounds awesome

I'm guessing it rains a lot there?

Funny how things change. Got talking to a Honda dealer last week. He commented on the fact that Honda U.K couldn't shift new Valk's back in the day and now, if one appears, they sell instantly. I would love to own one, but am pinning my hopes on a new V4.

I am a lurker

I come in here and read from time to time but since there is a Valk thread I figured I would post!
I am actually thinking of selling...I don't want to but the R1200R gets all of my seat time so I am having a hard time having this bike just sit in the garage.

Here she is 01 standard.

Well I guess I can't upload a pic...hmmm

Yes! And we've got webbed feet
it's the crap (rock salt) that gets spread on our roads, it'll turn your bike into a piece of shit overnight, it stings your eyes as well
I suppose he likes riding it more than cleaning it, most UK bikes are put away for the winter

I know this thread may be getting a little old...but I need some advice if possible. I have a 97 standard. I purchased a set of Kuryakan pegs for the crash bars. I bought the set that is said to be for the Valkyrie, part number 4500. I installed them yesterday and no matter where I put them on the bars, and how I adjusted them, they where way too wide. Now, part of the problem is that I'm only 5'9", not 6'3", when I put my legs out I could only put my feet on the bars that the pegs are attached to, not the pegs themselves. I took them off and called the shop where I purchased them and they are looking for a different set of Kuryakan pegs that will work on the Valkyrie. I have a set on my 91 GoldWing and they make a huge difference on trips. If possible, could I get some help, and see what anyone else has, and pictures of them installed would really be helpful. Maybe I could see a way to make these work that I'm missing.

Kuryakan pegs

I have mine on the lower part of the crash bar that curves back in toward the engine. This puts the pegs below the value covers and about 1/3 back from the front of the valve cover. If you really need a picture I'll take one but its a pain to download.

This is the best photo I can find of where mine are mounted. Hope this helps.
