Thanks ValkyrieRider, that helps. I played with them yesterday and got them as close as I could to fitting me. Maybe I'm just too short for HighWay pegs on my Valk! Dunno.

I've been lurking around ADVRider for a while now enjoying the antics.

And now that I finally decide to make my first post, what do I find but a whole Valkyrie thread!!

Anyway, I'm off to continue to my reading of all these wonderful trips...

Yep, you do...I left the general board a long time ago cause I got tired of dealing with uptight know it all FF...I look in tech board every once in a while, but I don't post.

This place is *much* more lively and more along the lines of what *I* think a forum should be...so after lurking for a *very long* time, I finally registered.

that is similar to how i have mine mounted but i had to turn them up and in a bot as they would drag on the ground cornering quite a bit and i was worried about one digging in with the uneven asphalt we have here in canada. i still find they are not in a very good spot for comfort but at least i can lean the bike over now! i have to mess around with it a bit more.

also on the interstates there is a peice of metal that triangulates the area between the engine guard and the bar that pulls back to the frame it prohibits you from putting the clamp on it. it must be cut out to work.

Happy New Year right back to all the valky riders here.

I have one question for all of you. What brand of tires are you running and do you like them. I have 2 long trips planned this year. I will be needing new tires between runs. I currently have Avon Cobra which I hate. Front one is the loudest tire I've ever run. The back one had to be replaced due to being defective. I am going to try a different tire. Any suggestions?
Thanks Eddie.

I have an Elite 3 in the front, and a car tire in the back.

The E3'll last you around 20K miles, and the car tire more than that, but depending on the tire, their behavior can change depending on a few lbs of PSI change.

That's the tire combo I ran last on my Valk. Goodyear in back, E3 in front.

I ended up putting a set of new E3s on it before selling it.

I hated the E3 !! I only got almost 8k from the front and it was very noisy
to me !! It skipped it the twisties shook the head and was slick in the rain!! A POS in my book for my Valks...

I loved the Avon Venom.
But could only pulled 15k from the front..But alas it's gone...
I do like the Avon Cobra..
I have gotten great wear from it pulling almost 18K+ !!
I run 38psi on one bike & 40psi on my other..
It grips the road well and NO skipping...

I LOL run "car tires" on my rear
I only pull 45-48K on my rear Triple Treads...
Yes not the plurals it not a typo..
I ride Valk trikes ....
One has almost 150k and the other one has almost 100k...
Ride almost 30k a year..

Mate also likes Avon Venom.. He now has cobras on 2 of his valks the others are still running Venoms... He also didn't like the E3....

was that on a bike or a trike? I've heard of another E3 that skipped, but I've never had that problem myself.

On both.. Highbinder had his on a I/S valk when it skipped..
And I had it on my trike ...
Only running the twisties hard...
We both didn't like them..

I know a lot of other valk riders that loved the E3 ??

It's like anything.. To each his/her own....
