Excellent video. Sod global warming I love 2 smokers I couldn't help laughing histerically in sympathy at the ktm falling in the puddle. I don't know why, but I get a sick pleasure at watching other riders falling off in slow speed tip overs

I only fell over twice in the day and both were captured on film! I blame the KTM's lofty seat for causing intermittent attacks of vertigo - at least the bog was a soft landing.

I decided dropping the rear wheel down was easier than lifting the front up = mistake no.3. The bike wouldn't start probably because the carb breather tubes were under water. The wheels were sucked down into the quagmire and I nearly burst my foofoo valve breaking free one wheel at a time but Mark & Glen soon hauled it out onto dry ground. I was so glad to be riding with such obliging fellows, even though they didn't volunteer to get into the bog to push.

Consumer report - my waterproof socks failed this product test.

Yeah, if it's deep enough the pressure makes it wick down through the cuff.

Unless you tape them to your legs...

yup there are certain advantages to being 'the holder of the camera'

you have to admit it was an eventful day....

with the odd rut

with a few overgrown bits

Which is why everyone was relieved when we got out the other end

I'm not sure what possesed us to go and do it again in the reverse (uphill) direction....

so after a break at Orange Hut we tackled the back bogs and experienced the odd hickup

go on lift ya bastard - we aint getting wet feet

I can see something swimming in there

What a great ride - thanks guys

Last Saturdays Potter

Rode with Glen and Andrew (Javahead)

Andrew said he used 4000 calories on the ride - the equivalent of running a marathon

made me feel a bit better about all the nana naps I need.

Another great ride even though it was cut a bit short by Glens bike starting to run crappy

Glen chases Andrew

No
Andrew and Glen are in a completely different league than me on the open stuff. I try and keep up but while they look smooth at speed I'm all over the show and normally scare myself into slowing down again.

I have come to terms with my position as 'slow boy' in the group.

By the time I caught up with them at the top they could have had nana naps.

Yep. Three gears and trials tyres and I'm happy.
Oh, and a couple of Moro bars for lunch of course.
