Hmm. My GPS shows Santa Clara Truck Trl as "special permit required".

Wotevah, check out the above coordinates, and that trail is open!

I'm not as good as what you think. Am still a noob compared with everyone else. I ride as much as I can and learn as fast as possible. The guys are all pretty cool and patient. You don't have to worry about Artboy and getting stuck, there's no more snow up there .

It's not just riding, it's also about the lunch after the ride; and .

Unless stated differently, everybody is welcome! The only rule is "ride your ride". The faster riders will wait at the next fork so you know which way to go.

If you are a noob then knobbies would be good. Lynx has been done many times on "street" tires but does reqiure a little more effort.

On another note.....Look at the mine I found off Lynx last week!!

Thanks to everyone who responded, I'll be watching this thread... and the weather!

Can't change tires so I'll just tackle whatever is doable by what I have.

Tomorrow's weather still looking good, partly cloudy, breezy, and in the mid 60s.

I surely will be looking for that abandoned mine. Thanks grinder.

According to the paper and Weather Underground, Saturday- 20% chance of rain, possible T-storms, Sunday, partly cloudy. This was for Santa Clarita/ Newhall. I have to do Sunday, Saturday is home slave day. Have fun if I miss you! Wherever I go Sunday, I'll start from the usual Mex Rest., Osborne about 8 AM.

Any sign that it will rain Sat, then I'm in for the Sunday ride. The only bad thing, I will not have an extra day to recuperate.

I think both are being talked about.

I plan on meeting Artboy and whoever else shows up at the Mex place 8am Sunday.

I think some others want to ride Saturday but I'm not up for that.

Weather sez Newhall-Sunday- high 60, low 40 ( I expect a bit cooler at 5,000 ft. up where we'll likely be ) Possible snow accumulation on north facing mountains! Here we go again!

O oh! It's going to be a threepeat! Monday riders will get the best of it!

If the rain is good enough just to keep the ground wet, I will be interested to ride Sunday too. Really depends on the outcome of tomorrow's ride and the rain that evening.

See some of you tomorrow, 8am at the Mexican Restaurant off Foothill and Osborne.
