She's a 2002 with a Corbin seat, Laser exhaust and upgraded ECU, upgraded suspension (Sachs), carbon-fiber kit, BMW bags, fresh tires and fluids, underbelly pan, and lots of other upgrades and spare parts, and only 22,250 miles.

Thumb

...sweet! Has the Suburban peg lowering kit too.
The CF cowl would run you over $100, that belly pan is some real cashola.
Already set with the hugger as well.
Nice find.

The shocks are OEM probably off a Prep or Boxer Cup.
Not sure it's not a Prep though. The Prep cam stripped down, low bars, non-ABS, taller shocks like the Boxer Cup, so the shocks would be factory if it is.
"Prep" as in prepared for racing.

Thanks for all the info, RD! The PO said the shocks were Sachs, but I think I read here that the yellow springs were off a Prep like you said.

I also got an extra front wheel that looks identical the one on the bike. I haven't examined it for damage yet, but it looks ok. Why would someone swap wheels if not replacing it with magnesium or something?

...possibly bent? Maybe he intended to paint, who knows.
If I recall correctly the OEM shocks are Sachs. Yellow spring ones are Prep and Boxer Cup, so hard to decipher what the PO said.

Check the rear wheel and see if it's a 5.5 width over the standard 5".
Yellow shocks, low bars, non-ABS, 5.5 rear pretty much indicates it's a Prep, unless someone swapped parts which is very popular o do on this bike.
I've seen lots of metallic silver Preps.

Good find. I'm always amazed when I see such low miles on good bikes. I still have my 1999 which I bought in 2002 with 20k and it now has 61k. Not much but then I haven't been riding it much for the past few years. I've been thinking of selling it for awhile now but do still enjoy looking at it and the torque when coming out of turns is a joy. Enjoy your new toy.
